Rainy Day People
I found this definition this morning and since it is one of those rare days of rain in the Phoenix area, it seemed appropriate. So the word is “pluviophile – (n) a lover of rain. Someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days. I’ve found, since living in Phoenix the last 30+ years that in many ways the rain is a welcome site, even if it is during the Phoenix Waste Management Open. I figure since we can’t control the weather, may as well enjoy it. As Mark Twain once said, “everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it”. So why worry and fret about what you can’t control? Control what you can and learn to deal with the rest. This can be applied in any number of ways. Find yours and move forward!
